We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Duties

Safely operate lorries and other commercial vehicles to transport goods to various locations. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition. Secure cargo properly on to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations during operations. Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management for immediate action.

Skills

Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures within the UK. Excellent organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules. Ability to handle physical tasks associated with securing cargo and assisting with loading/unloading. Good communication skills for liaising with clients, dispatchers, and team members. Experience in delivery driver roles, demonstrating reliability and punctuality. A valid UK driving licence suitable for operating large commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record.
