We are in the process of hiring a whole new pool of HGV Class 1 Drivers to work a variety of General Haulage routes out of Castle Donington working Monday-Friday starting between 04:00-06:00, so if you are local to Castle Donington and have experience with General Haulage/Tautliners and are interested in joining a very well established family run logistics company then read on....

Days/Hours/Perks:

Monday-Friday (starting at 04:00-06:00) Overtime available at weekends when drivers hours allow Free, Secure on Site Parking Kitchen Facilities on site including Vending Machines and Fridges 210 per shift

Must have LTD COMPANY!

Role Responsibilities

Making deliveries and collections across the UK Supervising or helping to load and unload goods Making sure loads are safely secured. Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary Completing delivery paperwork and defect reporting. Thorough vehicle checking before each journey. Represents the face of the company You may also deal with basic maintenance, such as water top ups before and after journeys Cleaning of the cab internally and externally (depot facilities available)

Person Requirements

Class 1 licence is mandatory (C+E) Valid CPC and digital tacho card essential Two years Class 1 truck driving experience required Less than 6 points on licence preferred (DR10, DD, CD, TT not accepted) Excellent driving skills and road safety knowledge Able to meet the physical demands of the job eg loading/unloading, coupling/uncoupling, operating curtain-siders etc Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business Safety conscious ensuring that personal, vehicle and load safety, and that of others, is a key priority. Polite and customer focused Pass internal driver assessment if one is required
