Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
This will mainly be night work, please do not apply if you cannot be flexible on hours.
Duties
Delivering fresh meat carcasses and boxed products to butchers and wholesalers across UK, mainly London ensuring timely delivery. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload delivery vehicles Carrying heavy loads Maintain accurate records of deliveries Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
