HGV Class 1 (HGV Cat C+E) Night Trunk Driver

Monday to Friday night Full time permanent position, salary based, Monday to Friday. Shift start times from 17:00 depending on trunk time

Our team are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Night trunk driver who will be working out of our site at Woolpit, IP30 9RZ. At times the role may be physically demanding and a reasonable level of fitness is required.

The Duties and Tasks

Mainly responsible for the overnight delivery of a double deck trailer, with varying freight types, to our Network hub(s). The main focus being compliant and safe working practices while keeping the customers' needs in mind and ensuring a safe reload and return to Woolpit. Daily checks of your vehicle to maintain legal compliance. Always operating within the requirements of EU/WTD hours regulations.

The applicant must:

Have held an HGV Class 1 (HGV Cat C+E) driving licence for a minimum of 12 months with a maximum of 6 penalty points and be over 25 years of age (Insurance purposes). Applicants outside this scope may be considered, dependant on previous employment and experiences. Have a full and up to date driver CPC, ongoing training while be provided. Be reliable, responsible and compliant in all duties. Be a team player, ready to work in a fast-paced environment

Advantageous Skills:

ADR trained, however training could be offered to the right candidate.
