Overview

We are seeking reliable and skilled Class 1 Hiab Driver with lorry loader qualification to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

We offer a variety of work, with each day being different and we run a monthly reward scheme. We are a small company currently operating 10 vehicles, so we are a close-knit team where everyone knows each other and often have jobs requiring more than one vehicle to travel together. Each driver sticks to one vehicle other than holiday/sickness cover.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as industry regulations. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
