Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Livestock Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in this sector and the relevant Lantra Certification - minimum of Level 2 Animal Transport by Road - short journey. We require a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.

Duties

Ensure the safe loading and unloading of livestock, adhering to all safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle & trailer to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records and documentation for the journeys of livestock. Communicate effectively with Management and Customers regarding delivery and collection schedules of livestock and any potential issues. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Washing out and following hygiene procedures of trailer, after delivery of livestock.

Qualifications

Valid C & E licence with a clean driving record, Valid CPC card and Digi card Lantra Certification - minimum of Level 2 Animal Transport by Road - short journey. Experience as a livestock driver. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Good communication skills for liaising with customers and team members. Experience with livestock is highly preferable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
