Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class One Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires expertise in General Haulage work and a thorough understanding of commercial driving regulations. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our products.

Responsibilities

Moving Containers from Southampton docks Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transit. Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper securing techniques are used to prevent damage during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.

Experience

Proven experience as a Class 1 (CE) driver Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation. Familiarity with local routes and navigation systems is advantageous. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to commercial driving. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage schedules effectively.
