We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately for transport, particularly for flatbed deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. Assist in the training of new drivers as needed, sharing best practices for safe driving and cargo handling.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is essential. Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Experience with flatbed driving is highly advantageous. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
