Due to increasing volumes, we are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 night drivers to join our successful team. The maximum hours worked each shift will be 10 hours including breaks.
The role will include:
Carrying out daily walk-around checks of the vehicle, raising defects where appropriate.
Inspect load safety before leaving the depot and request for items to be reloaded if necessary to avoid unnecessary damage and so as to ensure safety.
Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law and company policies at all times and be respectful of other road users.
Shunting goods between depots during the night shift.
Understand tachographs and drivers hours regulations and comply with them at all times
Report any accidents as soon as possible in line with the company accident procedure.
Attend essential training when required
Provide excellent customer service
Maintain the cleanliness of the cab
Assist with yard or other ad-hoc duties in line with the needs of the business
Experience:
Driving: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
Driver CPC (preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 37,876.80 per year
Work Location: In person
