Job Summary

Night shifts doing toolstation cages work. Sometimes can be trunking down to Pineham and back. Minimum 12 hour shift. Could start between 4.30pm-10pm. Monday-Friday. Minimum 2 years road experience. Static induction. You will be required to conduct rapid drug and alcohol test, if they pass the induction they are then buddied up with other drivers for the first 4 shifts. Inductions can be arranged pretty quickly, within a couple of days of driver being available and licences have been submitted.

Duties

21.50 P/H LTD or 18.90 PAYE Monday to Friday Night shifts Temp to perm Curtainside, Cages and trunking work Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. HGV Class 1 driver Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and potential obstacles. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues that may arise during transit. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients upon delivery.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV licence. Prior experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Familiarity with curtainside lorries and the specific requirements for securing various types of cargo is an advantage. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in driving. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
