Due to continued expansion we are looking for a Class 1 or 2 HGV Driver to join our team.

Excel Agri Ltd is a ruminant feed business. Our small, friendly team specialise in ruminant nutrition. We support farmers with expert advice, products, and feed across the South West. We strive to provide the highest level of customer service possible. We value all of our staff and they all have a big part to play in the success of the business.

The Job we have to offer:

We have a Class 1 or 2 position available with the possibility of a variety of shift patterns based from our site at Dolton Beacon, EX19 8PS.

As a Class 1 or 2 HGV driver you will be a key player in the company's own transport and logistics operation. You will need to be comfortable working in a hands-on capacity and driving in rural locations, covering farms across the South West, and providing a high level of customer service; taking pride in your work and lorry is a must.

Key Accountabilities:

Providing best practices, whilst ensuring full compliance relevant to health and safety, feed safety, quality and hygiene Complying with all road traffic regulations and relevant legislation related to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive Adhering to safe working practices Carrying out daily driver checks using our app-based system

Feed Accountabilities:

Ensuring the products are correct, of high quality and all paperwork associated with the load is correct Delivering bagged feed to farms in rural locations on both single and multi-drops Working in a 'hands on' role, loading at local mills, and unloading on farm using a moffett Cleaning down the vehicle (including the bulk body) to ensure we comply with hygiene regulations and traceability for UFAS

Requirements:

Hold either HGV Class 1 or 2 driving license Driver CPC qualification Experience with curtain side lorries is preferred but not essential Good geographical knowledge of the South West Positive, flexible, and excellent communication skills A "can do" attitude Physically active (due to unloading/strapping down feed at farm/mill locations)
