Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Roll-On Roll-Off Driver / Wagon & Driver Roamer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, and the ability to communicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients. Experience with roll on and roll off vehicles and scrap metal is preferred, as well as a solid background in commercial driving.

Duties

Safely operate lorries to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules and any delays. Follow all road safety laws and company policies during operations. Assist with loading or unloading when necessary, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Skills

Experience required driving both Wagon & Drag and Roll-on Roll-off Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple routes.
The working hours are 0600-1600hrs Monday to Friday however the ability to stay out overnight is required, paid additional at 30 per night out. Overtime and Saturdays also available at a higher rate.

Pay: 52,000.00 per year
