HGV Class 1 Driver

Base Pay:

14.50 per hour based on a standard 55-hour work week

Overtime Rate:

17.50 per hour for any hours worked beyond the standard 55-hour week, including weekends

Meal Allowance:

10 per day to cover daily meal expenses

Additional Bonuses:

Splitter Jobs: 20 per splitter job Hazardous (Haz) Jobs: 25 per job involving hazardous materials

Night-Out Allowance:

26.20 per night for drivers required to stay out overnight

Main duties/responsibilities:

Operating commercial vehicles Load and unload goods Making sure loads are safely secured Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary Carrying out basic routine maintenance Completing delivery paperwork, PDA, Walk around check or any documentation Following the compliance, tacho master and other regulations and laws that are applicable

Technical Skills:

A valid HGV driver's license Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations Ability to operate HGVs safely and efficiently Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair Familiarity with GPS systems and other tracking devices

The successful candidate will:

Be flexible and reliable Minimum 1 years experience of driving HGV Class 1 Have great communication skills Hold a Clean Driving Licence Hold valid DQC and up to date CPC
