Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials using a fridge lorry, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills and a dedication to maintaining high standards of vehicle care.

Duties

Operate a Fridge lorry to transport goods safely and efficiently (Multidrop). Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations while on the road.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
