Overview

We are a growing company looking to recruit an experienced Class 1 HGV Walking Floor Artic Driver to operate one of our Scania or DAF artic units with our walking floor trailers. This is a full-time, permanent position offering consistent work within a professional and expanding operation.

The successful candidate must have proven Class 1 walking floor experience, be reliable and time-conscious, and capable of working independently. This role will involve regular nights out, so flexibility and a professional attitude are essential.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 1 artic vehicle with walking floor trailer Transport and discharge loads using walking floor equipment in a safe and efficient manner Complete deliveries and collections to schedule, maintaining high standards of punctuality Carry out daily walk-around vehicle and trailer checks and report defects promptly Use a handheld PDA for tickets, delivery records, and vehicle checks Ensure correct operation of walking floor controls and equipment Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner Comply with Driver CPC, tachograph, and working time regulations Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of vehicle and trailer Communicate effectively with site staff, transport office, and customers Use initiative to manage day-to-day challenges while working away from base
Requirements

Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV licence Up-to-date Driver CPC Valid Digital Tachograph card Proven experience operating walking floor trailers (essential) Willing and able to carry out nights out as required Confident using handheld PDA devices Strong time management and organisational skills Hardworking, reliable, and safety-focused Able to work independently and use own initiative
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 150.00-180.00 per day
