Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving curtain-sided vehicles safely and efficiently, following all applicable laws and regulations. The driver must be flexible, have a valid driver's license and a good driving record and is expected to perform pre-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs of their trips, and ensure that the truck is properly loaded and secured.

Duties:

Operate trucks to transport wastes and materials. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of oneself and others on the road. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Load and unload wastes from vehicles at times. Overnight work may be required (Once a week). Overtime after 40 hours. Good housekeeping of all vehicles. Communicate with customers, dispatchers, or other members of the transportation team. PPE and uniform provided.
Requirements:

A valid Class 2 HGV licence is required. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing schedules and documentation. Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members effectively. No more than six points on a driving license. ADR (preferred) Driver CPC (essential) Forklift License. (preferred) Hazardous Waste experience. (preferred) 1 years of experience in a similar driving role. (essential)
