Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable class 2 Driver to join our family firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle taillift deliveries. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in compliance with all relevant traffic laws and regulations. Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo on flatbeds. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road. Manage routes efficiently to optimise delivery times and fuel consumption.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar commercial driving role. Excellent driving skills with a valid commercial driving licence & CPC. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety checks and documentation. Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
