Job Overview
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver for a well-established manufacturing company based in Alfreton (DE55). As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Duties
Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit. Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road. Uphold high standards of customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence (Category C) Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card Minimum 24 months' Class 2 driving experience No more than 6 penalty points (DD, DG, DR convictions not accepted) A professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: 14.50-19.93 per hour
Expected hours: 39 - 46 per week
Work Location: In person
