Discount Builders Merchants are a growing family-owned Builders' Merchants with over 20+ year experience in supplying both the building trade and DIY enthusiasts. We currently operate depots in the West Midlands, Banbury and Kent and Slough.

Due to continued growth, we have a new exciting opportunity for experienced

HGV Class 2 Drivers

to join the team in Banbury.

Key responsibilities-

In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, providing top quality customer service. The role involves safely driving the companies Class 2 HGV vehicles Liaising with customers and colleagues Assisting yard staff in loading your vehicle in busy periods

Qualifications and Skills

HIAB certification and experience would be desirable for this role however training can be provided. Class 2 licence, digital tachograph card and up to date CPC training required Ideally a knowledge of the building industry and building products would be an advantage
As a Discount Builders Merchant driver, you are the face of company to many of our customers and as such you should be:

Of smart appearance for which a smart uniform will be provided Have a positive, friendly and helpful manner Be enthusiastic, hardworking and have a positive attitude

Experience:

Builder Merchants: 1 year (Preferred) HGV Class 2 Driving: a minimum of 1 year (Required) ideally a clean license, but should not have more than 6 points HIAB experience (Preferred) Forklift Truck experience (Preferred)

People Skills

Strong communication skills Reliable and prompt Be prepared to offer a first-class service to customers Work from Monday through to Saturday hours in line with driving regulation.
