Job Description

Toughglaze is looking to find an HGV Class 2 Driver Qualified to drive a 18 ton lorry, working Monday to Friday, 5am to 3pm (dayshift) hours only. Applicants must hold a full drivers CPC entitlement.

The role will involve carrying out deliveries to site & customer premises of glass products and assisting in loading and offloading of the delivery.

The role as Driver, you will:

Carry out driving, delivery and loading duties in a safe and responsible manner, within the law and in the most efficient way, enabling maximum vehicle utilization Complete daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects that require urgent attention Check & sign off load prior to setting off, to ensure the load is complete and safe Report any breakages or delivery problems in a timely manner Ensure delivery notes are signed by customers and returned to office. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Adhere to Tachograph legislation To help and assist customers, performing duties with a pleasant and helpful manner, being aware at all times that you are representing the company and behaving accordingly Support Operatives with factory duties, when not driving
For the Driver specifically it is important that you have:

HGV Class 2 Licence CPC card Experience of working with glass is preferable, but not essential Moffett/or crane experience is preferred, but not essential A high level of attention to detail Experience of dealing with customers The ability to work well within a team environment
