We are a tight-knit, family run business seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods across various locations. This role requires experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtain sided vehicles, and a proven track record as a delivery driver. Duties

Operate our Rigid Class 2 lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order. Load and unload goods securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely to their destination. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, schedules, and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries from clients. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimise risks on the road.

Qualifications

Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license with appropriate endorsements for flatbed driving. Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
