Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled class 2 driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with rigid, good physical fitness and a strong commitment to safety, efficiency and customer service. As a Driver for DS Movers, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Shift pattern Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM Overtime payable before and after hours.

Responsibilities

Operate all vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip. Communicate effectively with operations and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism. Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
