Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable class 2 HGV driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles. As a class 2 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries meet our high standards of service.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each journey. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for commercial driving. Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
