The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods and making deliveries to designated locations on a multi drop basis. You will follow assigned routes, adhere to traffic regulations, and ensure customer satisfaction through accurate and efficient deliveries.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a Class 2 commercial vehicle and comply with all relevant road safety regulations.

Follow designated delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient multi-drop deliveries.

Inspect vehicles before/after each shift to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any issues.

Provide excellent customer service by delivering/collecting goods professionally and courteously.

Handle required paperwork such as delivery/collection notes and invoices accurately and efficiently.

Assist with unloading/loading goods at delivery points and verify that the correct items are received by the recipient.

Communicate effectively with the office, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations.

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.

Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, ensuring regular maintenance and cleanliness.

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 driving license

Clean licence

2 years previous experience as an HGV Class 2 driver

Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic regulations, supporting company initiatives to eliminate incidents and accidents.

Good physical fitness and ability to handle loading and unloading of goods.

Strong customer service and communication skills to represent the company to the highest standard

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.

Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

A responsible and reliable work ethic with a commitment to punctuality.

Flexible and adaptable to changes arising from customer requirements.

Honesty and integrity at all times, including when mistakes are made.
