Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with 18.t curtain sided vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle operation.

Duties

Deliver beds and mattresses to holiday parks, student accommodation and hotels across the UK Hours Monday to Friday with some nights away during the week when necessary Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policy and regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Good level of fitness as we load and unload our beds and mattresses by hand Collection and loading of mattresses for recycling Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Proven experience Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in driving. Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. A commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism and safety on the job.
