From 150 per day PAYE (dependent on experience) | Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our construction team based in Aldridge, Walsall. The role involves transporting equipment and assisting with the installation of street furniture, including bus shelters and digital advertising screens, across various sites nationwide.
You will work closely within a small, dedicated team to deliver projects to a high standard. Travel is an essential part of the role, and while you won't always be away all week, you must be happy to stay overnight when projects require it. Accommodation and reasonable expenses are fully covered.
This is a permanent, full-time PAYE position, starting with a trial period to make sure it's the right fit for both you and the team.
The role combines professional driving with hands-on site work, so we're looking for someone who is both confident behind the wheel and willing to support installation tasks on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving and operating HGV Class 2 vehicles, ensuring compliance with all road transport legislation.
Loading and unloading vehicles, securing equipment and materials safely.
Supporting site teams with installations, removals and groundwork when required.
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
Maintaining a professional and safe approach when representing the company on-site.
Requirements:
Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
Current Driver CPC qualification.
Valid Digital Tachograph card.
Valid CSCS card
NRSWA accreditation - advantageous.
HIAB / ALLMI trained - highly desirable.
Previous experience in a construction or highways environment (preferred but not essential - training provided).
Flexibility to work away from home when required.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.
Physically fit to assist with manual site duties.
Transport to and from site is provided - you'll need to get yourself to our depot each morning (Aldridge), where you'll travel as part of the team.
