Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtainside vehicles, and will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to safety regulations and excellent driving skills to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate curtainside lorries to transport goods to various destinations safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver with curtainside vehicles, is preferred. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
