Job Description
Skip truck driver :
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting skips over short or long distances while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
The candidate will be reliable, enthusiastic and have a strong work ethic who will represent Dave Peat Waste to a high standard and engage with the public in a professional manner.
Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport skips to and from various destinations
- Load and unload skips following proper procedures
- Checking skip load abides to company polices
- Engaging with customers
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and inform office of any maintenance needed
- Maintain accurate driving logs and records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members
- some yard work, sorting skips and waste collections
-Working days -Monday to Friday (No weekends)
Requirements:
- Clean driving record with no traffic violations
- Cornwall: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
The following are preferred, but young driver applications (18+) will be accepted and training for the right candidate provided.
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role
- Valid Drivers CPC Licence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.50-13.75 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
Work Location: On the road
