Job Summary

Generator Power is the UK's largest and privately owned generator rental company having enjoyed over 21 years of supply in the industry. With 9 depots across the UK with and Trackway Solutions in Wetherby we are able provide national coverage. The company provides installation of Generators to all industries, from Hospitals, festivals, renewable energy, telecoms, general construction and is the largest supplier to the utilities sector. Generator Power has experienced rapid growth in recent years and is undergoing further expansion providing an excellent opportunity for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team at our Bowburn depot.

Duties/Responsibilities

Load and unload Vehicles. Operate forklift truck. Deliver Generators and ancillaries to site and collect Generators and ancillaries from site (all industry sectors such as hospitals, construction, power grids and festivals) Assist engineers on site. Overnight stays. Refuelling Generators on site and in dept. Carry out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy. Installation and dismantle of Generators on customer sites. Completion of daily vehicle inspections and reporting defects to transport department. Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedure. Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.

Qualifications/Skills required:

High school or equivalent. Class 2 HGV (Essential) CPC full 35 hours, expiry 09.09.2019 or later. ADR or working towards (preferred class 3 tanks and core packages) Fork Lift Truck Licence (Desired but training can be provided) Digital Tachograph Lifting operations / Equipment

Experience required:

HGV Driving experience Knowledge of EU driver hours Working time directives
