Job Description

We are a family-owned lubricant blender based in Gateshead, manufacturing a wide range of engine, hydraulic other bespoke lubricants and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team, working across Mainland UK in an environment where customer focus is key.

The role will consist of:

Delivery of both packed and bulk pumped products to a wide range of customers throughout the UK

Load preparation and safe loading of your vehicle

Daily checking of vehicles and the reporting of any defects

Working to high predetermined quality control systems

Desired skills and qualifications:

Full class 2 clean HGV licence

Valid CPC Qualification (Driver's Card)

A good experience of driving in the UK

Valid ADR Qualification - although not essential

Good communication skills

Proven track record of providing a high level of customer service

Ability to manage working hours effectively

Whilst full training will be given, knowledge of handling materials in line with COSHH would be beneficial. A current counterbalance fork lift truck licence is also preferable, although not essential. You will also have a high attention to detail and experience of typical industrial safe systems of work, along with being able to demonstrate a high level of health and safety awareness. Our drivers are the face of the business so must be used to dealing with customers in a polite and friendly manner. We run a predetermined delivery pattern, with runs ranging from one day to up to four nights out, working Monday to Friday except in very exceptional circumstances.

Starting Salary: 35,500 + dependant on experience. Reviewed after 6 months on completion of bulk delivery training.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, averaged to 48 hours per week.

Night out allowance - expect 2-4 nights out per week.
