Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Multi drop deliveries in Scotland (Excluding Inverness and beyond) Mon-Thu 7-4.30 pm Fri-7-2.30pm (Backshift week once every 8 weeks 4.00pm-2.00am) Pension Year 1 Employer contribution 3% thereafter 8.7%, Death in service 4 times annual salary, Curtain sided vehicles loaded by warehouse backshift (Ready to go in morning) 95% forklift loading/unloading. No daily collections on completion of deliveries.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to company policies and procedures while on the road. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.

Skills

Proven experience(Preferred) as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role. Strong commercial driving skills with a valid commercial driving licence. Experience operating curtain sided lorries is an advantage. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local routes. Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety protocols. Good communication skills.
