Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations. Conduct inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. All vehicles loaded for you. Securing load properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with site and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Delivering within a 2 hour radius of the site. Normal day is between 6 and 16 drops dependant upon route. Start times from 4am/6.30am, you can chose when you start. Job and finish, you are paid for 8 hours per day even if you finish early. Overtime after 8 hours. New trucks approx 1 year old.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving with class 2 vehicles. Strong knowledge of flatbed vehicles, roping, sheets, strapping. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record although minimal points may be accepted. Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems effectively. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
