Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. Experience with Curtainside with tail lift and commercial driving is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to operational excellence.

Duties

Operate curtain and box tail lift lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations Plan routes efficiently to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Secure loads properly on flatbeds to prevent movement during transit Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods

Requirements

Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles, including tail lift trucks Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, preferably with flatbed or specialised cargo experience Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK Excellent organisational skills and ability to plan routes effectively Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards Prior experience with commercial driving licences (e.g., LGV licence) is preferred but not essential for all roles
