Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to deliver professional driving services and support the efficient movement of equipment and materials. You will ensure loads are transported safely and comply with all road transport legislation while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesDriving and Vehicle Care

Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks before departure. Ensure all loads are correctly secured, strapped and comply with transport regulations. Maintain cleanliness of the cab and touch points, using antibacterial wipes and spray. Report any vehicle defects, damages or incidents immediately to the Transport Office or Branch Manager. Promote road safety by maintaining effective vehicle control at all times.
Delivery and Customer Service

Deliver and collect equipment to and from customer sites in a courteous and professional manner. Obtain customer signatures on delivery/collection documentation and return copies as required. Communicate promptly with the office regarding unforeseen delays or route changes. Represent the company positively and promote our products and services when interacting with customers.
Loading and Site Duties

Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required. Operate forklifts, lorry-mounted cranes or slings only if fully trained and certified. Follow all site safety procedures and wear company-issued uniform and personal protective equipment.
Health, Safety and Compliance

Observe all company policies, procedures and road transport legislation, including tachograph and EU regulations. Take responsibility for your own safety and that of colleagues, customers and the public. Support ad-hoc projects or tasks as directed.
Qualifications and Skills

Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence. Minimum two years' relevant driving experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. Team-orientated with a hands-on approach. Lorry-Mounted Crane Certificate (advantageous but not essential).
