Job Description

Explosive developments Ltd is a leading manufacturer of explosives and equipment for use in the mining and quarrying industry. We are looking to recruit a permanent Driver/ Labourer to join our team at our head office & warehouse located on Pocklington industrial estate, near York. The role involves the distribution of customer orders to various local and long-distance sites throughout England & Scotland as well as assisting our workshop manager when no deliveries are required.

Working days : Monday to Friday
Early Morning starts are required.
The applicant must be comfortable with a physically demanding job that requires you to load your vehicle using a fork lift or pallet truck for heavy goods or by hand for smaller deliveries.
The successful candidate must be conscientious and manage their delivery times as customers have strict time schedules for receiving goods.
Applicants must have good customer-facing skills and good communication skills.
As hazardous goods are transported an ADR qualification is required but training will be given to achieve this.
Fork lift experience preferred
You will have at least 12 months experience as an HGV class 2 driver and possess a valid CPC card and Digi tacho card.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.50-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
