We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities
Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across designated routes.
Load, secure, and unload cargo in accordance with safety standards and company procedures.
Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to legal driving hours and regulations.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries or similar vehicles.
Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid driver's licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV).
Knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance requirements within the UK.
Excellent organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules.
Ability to handle physical tasks such as securing loads on flatbeds and lifting cargo when necessary.
Good communication skills for liaising with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
Experience in delivery driver roles is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and professionalism on the road.
