Job Description

Due to continued growth and securing long term contracts Burflex (Scaffolding) Ltd now have a job opportunity for a HGV Class 2 Driver/Labourer working from the yard situated in the Leeds LS9 area.

Burflex now employ 200+ staff and due to continued growth and expansion are looking for staff for the following role

This is a full-time position with an immediate start for the right candidate. You will be required to multi drop/collect scaffolding materials throughout Yorkshire and return to the Leeds depot daily.

Job Summary:

All goods are delivered in good condition, verifying the accuracy and safety of your load before leaving the yard in compliance with highway safety regulations.

You will also be responsible for collecting goods from various sites, which will require manual labour, banding and assistance from a forklift driver where possible to load them onto your truck.

On the labour side, your tasks will involve consolidating stock during collections and ensuring your truck is fully loaded with stock before returning to the site

Manual handling will be required on some sites where you will be required to help the scaffolders these will be shared out equally amongst drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

Upon arrival at the site, report to the site supervisor to inform them of your presence

Maintain good communication with your line manager regarding any wait times on site.

Deliver all goods in good condition.

Ensure the load is safely secured in compliance with highway safety regulations.

Collect goods from various sites.

Band the collected goods. Coordinate with a forklift driver to load goods onto the wagon.
Consolidate stock during collections.

Ensure the truck is fully loaded with stock before returning to the site.

Ensuring wagon is always kept clean and presentable inside and out

Working in the yard on quiet delivery days

Qualifications and Experience:

Health and Safety awareness

Good interpersonal skills

Driving: 1 Year (preferred)

Class 2 or Category B

Driver CPC
