Job Description

We don't very often advertise but due to a long standing employee relocating, we are seeking enthusiastic and hard-working Class 2 (C) Driver to join our team for general haulage to drive a 26 ton rigid curtain side tail-lift. It could be anywhere in the UK. would be rare to have a nights out but never say never, with this role start and finish time can vary daily unless you are on the Palletways side for cover. We need somebody who is flexible though as sometimes you would be needed for holiday cover or if we are extra busy on the Palletways side where you could have days of helping with the Leicester deliveries.

Requirements are: -

Hold a minimum of a Class 2 (C) Licence for 2 years due to insurance. Have a Digital Tachograph and up to date CPC Card. Max 3 points for insurance reasons. Have a good standard of English, be able to communicate with the depot and customers and understand both written and verbal instructions. Excellent customer service skills as you will be promoting PET at all times. You need to be punctual, reliable, have a reasonable level of physical fitness as some deliveries require the use of an electric pallet pump truck and vehicle tail lift. Forklift license would be an advantage
