We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role involves operating box body vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all transport regulations. A background in commercial driving and delivery driver experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate box body lorries for the transportation of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for safe transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver, specifically with box body vehicles is preferred. Previous delivery driver experience is an advantage, demonstrating familiarity with routes and logistics. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
