Overview

We are seeking a reliable, self-employed and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a keen understanding of commercial driving regulations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely and professional manner.

Duties

Operate 18T lorries for the safe transportation of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively at all times.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with no more than 6 points Proven experience( min 6 months) as a delivery driver, particularly with lorries. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving in the event of delivery challenges or vehicle issues.
