We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. Responsibilities
Operate curtain side lorries to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner
Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and properly balanced before transit
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transit
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, adhering to health and safety standards
Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained throughout shifts
Qualifications
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtain side lorries or similar vehicles
Valid UK driving licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or equivalent
Delivery driver experience preferred, with a strong understanding of route planning and time management
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for cargo securement
Ability to operate curtain side trucks with a tail lift safely and efficiently under varying conditions
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
