Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting biomass wood pellets to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a passion for driving and delivering quality service.

Responsibilities

Operate blower lorries and other commercial vehicles in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies. Loading of lorries at multiple depots. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and compliance paperwork. Communicate effectively with office and clients regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays. Adhere to all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. Store clean outs Nights out required- up to four nights out a week in Winter, 0-2 nights out a week during Summer months.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with blower vehicles. Strong driving skills and attention to detail. Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality. Team player Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally. Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing of pipes. Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards relevant to commercial driving in the UK.

No weekend work

Contracted to 44 hours a week but will be 55-60 hours in Winter months due to the nature of selling biomass wood pellets for heating.
