Class 2 HGV Driver
to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role that combines professional driving with removals work, offering variety and the opportunity to work closely with a supportive team.
The Role:
As a
Class 2 HGV Driver
, you will be responsible for safely driving and operating company vehicles, transporting goods and household items to and from customer locations. Alongside your driving duties, you will actively take part in removals, working as part of a team of 2-4 people to carefully handle, load, and unload furniture and other belongings. The role requires physical fitness, teamwork, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and in compliance with UK road regulations.
Assist with loading, unloading, packing, and moving household items.
Work as part of a removals team, ensuring moves are carried out efficiently and professionally.
Perform manual handling and heavy lifting duties.
Carry out vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are kept clean and roadworthy.
Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional nights away when required.
Requirements:
Valid Class 2 HGV (Category C) license.
Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card.
Previous removals experience (preferred but not essential - training will be provided).
Good level of physical fitness, able to handle heavy lifting.
Team player with strong communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and manner.
