Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods from one location to another
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure it properly
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and functionality
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation and delivery
- Job would include occasional nights out.
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably in flatbed or delivery driving
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and customers
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo
