Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team.

We are looking for a Waste Clearance Driver.

The working hours are 6am to 4pm we are based in Harlow so vehicle will be left at the Depot. Overtime available and working every other Saturday

The Candidate must have a Class 2. This Driver should be versatile as it will Driving many vehicles from our Roro to our 7.5 tonne cages and our 7.5 tonne Luton to our compactor

The candidate must be hardworking as this is a physical role. Duties include driving to site and then loading the 7.5 tonne lorry with all the items, if there are larger items a driver's mate will also go out.

If on a wait and load vehicle this will be going to site being loaded and then going to the Transfer Station to tip

The majority of the work is in London so being knowledgeable around London would be an asset

We would like a candidate that has waste industry experience.

Duties

Ensure timely clearances while adhering to scheduled routes and customer requirements. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload waste safely, ensuring proper handling techniques are used to prevent damage. Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. Comply with all relevant traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safety at all times.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle. Previous experience as a driver or in commercial driving is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members. A commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of driving and delivery tasks.
