Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care.

Duties

Safely operate lorries and other commercial vehicles over designated routes. Load and secure cargo efficiently, ensuring adherence to safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams. Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation. Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling procedures (heavy lifting required at times). Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical concerns immediately. Varied start and finish times. We cover the whole of UK including Ireland; Nights out when required 1 to 2 nights per week sometime 0 nights out.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving. Valid driving licence suitable for operating class 2 vehicles. Delivery driver experience preferred, with a strong understanding of logistics operations. Knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance standards within the UK. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks. Good organisational skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision. This position is ideal for drivers committed to safety, punctuality, and delivering exceptional service across their routes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.27-19.53 per hour

Expected hours: 39 - 45 per week
