Hgv Class 2 Driver/ Removal Staff
Job Description
We are looking to recruit a HGV class 2 Driver/ Operative for our removal and self-storage business in Coleraine.
The overall purpose of the role is to assist with domestic and commercial removals as well as maintaining the yard prioritising safety and cleanliness as well as any other odd jobs as required by the manager.
Areas of responsibility:
Driving removal 7.5ton Lorry ( 25 years & over due to insurance)
Assisting with domestic and commercial removals
Assisting customers with removals into storage
Helping to keep the business facilities clean and tidy at all times
General vehicle care
Ensuring the yard safety is maintained
Any other reasonable task as instructed by the line manager.
Must be over 25years with clean licence (insurance purposes)
Experience/Skills
A full UK driving licence is essential (CPC required) which can we applied for
Previous yard experience preferrable
Punctual and reliable
Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects
Ability to work on your own initiative and unsupervised
Ability to recognise where and when duties arise and fulfil these requirements satisfactorily
Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: Up to 12.45 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 20 per week
