Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Tramper Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role is for class one and class two tampers

Responsibilities

Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition. Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with legal requirements. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues on the route. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times. Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record, preferably with a Class 2 or higher qualification for commercial driving. Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver, ideally with flatbed experience. Strong knowledge of road networks and route planning within the local area and beyond. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance with legal standards. Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo. Good organisational skills to manage schedules effectively. Ability to work independently and responsibly under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary.
