We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, with experience in commercial driving The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of vehicle maintenance and road safety.

Duties

Operate 12 ton lorries to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and properly balanced before transit Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in a similar industry Demonstrable knowledge of class 2 curtain sider operations and securing loads Valid driving licence suitable for operating large vehicles (category C or equivalent) Familiarity with road safety regulations and compliance standards within the UK Experience in route planning and navigation using GPS or other mapping tools is advantageous A clean driving record with no recent violations or endorsements related to unsafe driving practices
