Job Description
Class 2 Driver required for an established glass manufacturer based in Scarborough
Role
Class 2 driver required to deliver glass units to customers nation wide and collection of empty stillages, multiple drops per shift.
Requirements
Flexibility required as this role includes early starts and 1-2 nights out per week Monday-Friday with multiple drops.
Class 2 license is essential
HIAB licence desirable.
Must have current CPC and UK digital tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence
Key responsibilities
Ensure products have been loaded safely onto vehicle, responsibility for strapping and security of the load.
Ensure load is correct and checked off according to delivery paperwork
On arrival at site ensure delivery is carried out safely respecting customers property and provide an excellent customer service at all times handling any customer delivery issues effectively, passing customer queries onto the transport office if needed.
Collect returnable stillages when on site or when requested by transport to do so.
Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times
Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, ensure vehicle is not subjected to unnecessary damage. Report any issues with vehicle or equipment promptly to transport.
Drive the vehicle safely and within the law adhering to WTD and driving laws.
